Functional Dry Needling

Functional Dry Needling is a safe, minimally invasive and often effective technique for patients with certain musculoskeletal presentations. Dry needling is a treatment performed by skilled, trained physical therapists, certified in the procedure. A thin monofilament needle penetrates the skin and treats underlying muscular trigger
points for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments.

Sports Medicine

At Aspen Physical Therapy, you will receive one-on-one attention from a sports medicine trained physical therapist. Our physical therapy treatment plans are specifically designed based on each athlete’s unique situation, needs and goals. Our goal is to restore your highest level of function and get you back to your sport as soon as possible and prevent re-injury.

Post Surgical Rehab

Aspen Physical Therapy provides the safest and quickest path back to normal life after a surgery.  Each patient’s treatment is thoughtfully individualized and exceedingly specific, with achievable goals both short-term and long.

Auto Accident Rehab

We understand auto injury grievances and possess the skills to properly monitor progression and regression for whiplash, headaches, back pain, injuries to the neck, shoulders and knees, regardless of whether symptoms present themselves immediately or days or weeks later.

Blood Flow Restriction

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training is a technique that combines low intensity exercise with blood flow occlusion that produces similar results to high intensity training. BFR involves the application of a pneumatic cuff
(tourniquet) proximally to the muscle that is being trained. It can be applied to either the upper or lower limb. The cuff is then inflated to a specific pressure with the aim of partially occluding blood flow. This helps provide a
metabolic environment to maintain and build muscle. This can be beneficial to prevent muscle atrophy after a surgery or injury.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release Therapy MFR is a technique that the therapist uses to locate myofascial areas that feel stiff and fixed instead of elastic and movable under specific manual pressure. These areas, though not always near what feels like the source of pain, are thought to restrict muscle and joint movements, which contributes to
widespread muscle pain. Using the Fascial Distortion Model, these areas can be pinpointed and treated to allow for greater mobility and less pain.
